    Krzysztof Strzałka 

    Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Slovak Republic


    Krzysztof Strzałka is a career diplomat. He has a master’s degree in history from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (where he also completed post-graduate studies in management and business) and a master’s degree in political science from the La Sapienza University in Rome. He obtained his PhD degree in humanities in 1999. He is an assistant professor in the Institute of European Studies at the Jagiellonian University (from 2005).

    After completing his diplomatic and consular training, from 2000 to 2005 he was the first secretary of the Polish Embassy in Rome. Between 2006-2008 he worked in the Department of Planning and Strategy of Foreign Policy and in the Department of Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2008 to 2012 he was the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Milan. From 2013 he worked in the Department of Cooperation with the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad, and then in the Department of Public and Cultural Diplomacy, where he has been deputy director in 2016-2018.
